Knowledge Management Trainee

The Knowledge Management Trainee Programme is aimed at third- and fourth-year law students who want to find out whether business law could be their cup of tea. The programme offers an excellent opportunity to learn about various business areas and topics in all areas of law. As a KM trainee, you get to work with an amazing team and learn from diverse and interesting tasks. This is definitely one of the best learning experiences you can get during your studies.

Tasks

Hannes Snellman’s KM trainees support the firm’s Knowledge Management Team. Their tasks include managing the library collections, following news and case law, conducting information searches for our lawyers, compiling research materials, etc. As mentioned, the tasks can be quite diverse and therefore require a creative and precise work approach. In addition, you need to have a basic knowledge of law, which is why this programme is aimed at students who have already completed a few years of study.

Practicalities

KM trainees work part-time, typically two or three days per week, except for the initial orientation period (approximately one month) during which they work full-time.

The duration of the employment and working hours will always be agreed on separately, and our KM trainees also have an opportunity to take a vacation during the summer period. The preferred duration of the traineeship is 12 months.

The Knowledge Management Trainee Programme usually starts in January, May, and September. Throughout the year, we usually have six KM trainees at a time.

“As a KM trainee, you get to work with an amazing team of colleagues, which is definitely one of the best parts of the traineeship. Every day is different, so you get to challenge yourself with diverse tasks from all different areas of law. Hence, you learn a lot throughout the traineeship.” – KM Trainee, spring 2022
